Ingredients

  • ¼ cup nut butter of your choice
  • ¼ cup flour
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric
  • ¼ teaspoon ginger powder
  • pinch of black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons coconut oil, melted
  • ½ teaspoon cardamom ground
  • 40 grams dark chocolate, melted

A Turmeric Hot Toddy To Shrug Off The Winter Chill Hero Image

A hot toddy may be an old wives’ tale in terms of its healing abilities, but with its warm water, lemon, honey, and a dram of whiskey, it can actually be incredibly comforting.

  • 1 to 1½ cups warm water
  • ¼ teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • juice of ½ a lemon (about 2 tablespoons)

Liquid Gold Elixir

Heated with a little milk and lots of warming spices, turmeric is wonderful for warding off colds and keeping your immune system in tiptop shape. This is a great one to have before bed, too!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk (coconut or almond are both nice for this one)
  • 1 heaped teaspoon coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
  • ¼ to ½ teaspoon freshly grated ginger or ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
  • pinch of ground black pepper
  • pinch of Himalayan sea salt
  • pinch of cayenne pepper for extra heat (optional)

Golden Oats

Turmeric-infused oats will brings some much-needed sunshine to a wintery morning in addition to some serious anti-inflammatory benefits.

Serves 3 to 4

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
  • ⅛ teaspoon cardamom
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup (or honey)

Toppings (Optional)

  • sliced fruits
  • toasted nuts

Turmeric-Almond Baked "Cheese" (Fights Inflammation!) Hero Image

Great as a spread  or a healthy dip, it’s a favorite snack that gets the creamy cravings out of the way.

Important Note: If you want to make this fabulous recipe, you’ll need to soak the almonds overnight, so make sure you do that the night before!  The mixture then needs to be refrigerated overnight!

Serves 2

Ingredients

  • 1 cup raw almonds, skin removed
  • 1/2 lemon, unpeeled
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 tsp. ground turmeric
  • 3 tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp. sea salt
  • rosemary to garnish
