Winter Smoothie

Smoothies aren’t the most wintery of breakfasts, but adding warming spices, seasonal fruit, and healthy fats can make them more winter-friendly.

Serves 1


  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 to 2 cups spinach
  • ½ avocado
  • 1 pear, cut into pieces (or other fruit of your choice)
  • 1 teaspoon of ginger
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract


1. Place ingredients (starting with milk, spinach, and so on) in a blender and process until smooth, scraping down the sides once or twice to make sure everything is incorporated.
